Implementation of the SVDSS in the ENVI/IDL Environment

Hyperspectral images (HSI) have the advantage of high spectral resolution and permit discriminate between different compounds. We confront the situation that we obtain many data for an image, this problem suggest the idea of data reduction as band subset selection (BSS). The Laboratory of Applied Remote Sensing and Image Processing (LARSIP) has develop algorithms for classification system and band subset selection to HSI that will have a complementation if the system is incorporate to ENVI software such that ENVI was design to work with spectral image analysis. In this paper, we present the developing Graphical User Interface (GUI) with one of the BSS method and loading images.
